New Year's Eve... Good Bye 2013, Hello 2014!

I love New Year's Eve! I've always been up for everything on this night, whether it's been getting wasted at a house party, dancing the night away in the club, at home with family watching NYE specials on TV, on the computer/phone with Steve, on the Las Vegas strip watching the fireworks, dancing at our Church's hall with friends/family/priests, shooting the guns at my grandparents house, or doing it big in Times Square New York with a million strangers watching the ball drop... whatever it is, I enjoy it and always thankful to have made it another year in one piece.

This year again, would be different than all the rest and my all time favorite. Tonight we would be cozy and comfortable in the house with food and drink watching the celebrations and fireworks live on TV from London together.

Watching it happen live on TV in London was something simple I really wanted to experience. It was something that most people at home in the UK would be doing, just as I've done many times at home watching the ball drop in Times Square. I was excited!

Need not mention I drank far far faaar too much wine. I had the worst hangover the next morning and a couple of days after.

This year we both had some hard times, but we had so many amazing special moments and highs. I feel so blessed that we were in love before we did many of the 'first time' things together that regular couples do, as simple as a first date. We were able to cherish these moments and truly appreciate them more. We have these moments every day and I'm so thankful.

I am thankful for having Steve in my life, thankful for good health, the support and love of him, my family and friends. I can only pray for the same in the upcoming year.

No matter what it was, it was all meant to be for us to end up where we are today - here together, happy, more in love than ever before and being able to enjoy every single day together... I look forward to many many more wonderful years with Steve.

My Reason for My Journal

I've always kept a journal of some type as far back as I can remember - from saving ticket stubs as a teenager, letters written from friends in high school during classes we didn't like but had to be at, notebooks and calendars with entries of things I did that day. Eventually it ended up being various entries in my planner throughout the weeks or day depending on my mood.

I should of started this blog long ago but right now, this year, at this time, it is the most important part of my life that I feel I need to cherish and remember, so I must get my shit together and start before another year passes. None of it I do not ever want to forget and all I would do again in a heartbeat if asked.
