The New Forest

It is finally starting to feel a lot more like spring! Yes, we have the rain here and there, almost every other, other day but isn't that what spring is all about anyway? As long as we get a little sun here and there, I'm good. Today was one of those days and what better day to have it when we are in the New Forest.

The New Forest

In the morning it started out a bit dull with a few showers but as soon as we got to Brockenhurst it was gone and the skies opened up just for me. So I went and had a much needed walk around the area. I was lucky to have most of this place to myself. There are tons of people who come down to the New Forest to enjoy the outdoors and nature. There are tons of trails and in the summer it's full of tourist and holiday makers.

I wasn't the only one with that in mind, all the locals in the village were out doing the same thing. If there is one thing I notice that the British do is at their first sign of sun and clear skies they are OUT! They do not waste any of these rare great days and they do make the most of it. This I have learned and have started doing too. You can never take these nice days for granted, you never know when the next one will be. :)

This flooding area is normal and suppose to be like this.
The other side of the Ford where the water leads off to.

I love this pretty area. I can imagine how much it cost to have a house here. Just walking around gives you peace of mind... being around all the trees, horses here and there.

This is another one of those areas full of oldies. There's a college here too just around the corner about half a mile away. That is the only place you see tons of kids around. You wonder where they all come from cause everywhere else is all oldies.

Anyway, my walk was nice and I was able to get a ton of good beautiful photos and that is all that  matters! :)
